For the position of Field Service Engineer, we are looking for a decisive, independent, and customer-focused colleague with a background as an automotive technician and a passion for electric vehicles.As a Field Service Engineer, you are the face of our company. You primarily work on-site at customer locations and with Service Partners both within and outside the Netherlands. You are responsible for performing technical analyses, troubleshooting, and repairing technical defects on our electric buses. You excel at delivering outstanding service to our customers and proactively think along to provide the best possible solutions.
THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
- Analyzing/diagnosing reports received through our ticketing system and preparing detailed reports accordingly;
- Determining and initiating the appropriate actions based on your diagnosis;
- Resolving complex malfunctions and carrying out repairs;
- Investigating issues and translating findings to Engineering and/or suppliers;
- Providing feedback based on field experience;
- Documenting completed work in our workshop management system;
- Updating bus software for Ebusco-specific components;
- Delivering timely periodic reports on results to the manager and the customer.
WHAT YOU BRING
- At least an MBO (vocational) diploma, with analytical skills and independence at HBO (higher professional education) level;
- Knowledge of Electronics, Mechanics, and Hydraulics. Experience with high-voltage systems is a plus;
- Work experience in an automotive role such as Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, Master Technician, or Field Support Engineer;
- Willingness to travel and to be on standby during evenings and weekends;
- A proactive attitude and a flexible, hands-on mindset (no 9-to-5 mentality);
- Clear, accurate, and professional communication skills with customers, colleagues, and external parties;
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. German or French is a plus, Spanish is an added advantage;
- Good MS Office skills; knowledge of the ticketing system Jira is a plus;
- Flexibility in unexpected situations and the ability to work under deadlines;
- A valid driver’s license B; driver’s license D is a plus.
