Role OverviewAs a Change Engineer, you are responsible for managing and implementing engineering changes for parts within the Chinese domestic market. This includes evaluating change requests, redesigning components using CAD tools, and leading implementation efforts on the production line. You work cross-functionally to optimize processes, reduce waste, and maintain high product quality.Your success will depend on your technical skills, lean manufacturing expertise, and ability to collaborate across departments. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate engineering change requests for feasibility and impact
- Redesign parts using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Conduct design reviews and generate technical documentation
- Lead implementation on production lines with minimal disruption
- Perform time studies and resolve process bottlenecks
- Apply lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping
- Collaborate with quality to resolve defects and perform root cause analysis
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Work closely with R&D, design, procurement, and production teams
- Document changes and report on progress, quality, and cost impact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in engineering and production change implementation
- Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of lean methods and quality systems
- Bilingual: fluent in English and Mandarin
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
