Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical)

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Ebusco, you are stationed at our partner’s factory in Xiamen, you provide end-to-end technical support throughout the production process, rapidly resolving on-site issues and driving continuous improvement. You act as the technical bridge between the local production team in China and our Engineering department at the European headquarters. In addition, you support material localization initiatives to optimize cost, lead times, and supply chain resilience.Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for bus production at the partner’s factory;
  • Lead on-site validation of solutions and contribute to production process optimization to promote standardization and efficiency
  • Serve as the technical coordinator between the Chinese on-site team and Ebusco Engineering in Europe; synchronize requirements, feedback implementation issues and ensure alignment with European standards.
  • Follow up on technical project implementation at the Xiamen factory and coordinate cross-departmental resources to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Conduct research on domestic component suppliers that comply with European requirements and identify suitable localized materials. Collaborate with the supply chain team to introduce verified localized materials into mass production, reducing cost and shortening supply chain cycles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Materials Science, Automotive Manufacturing or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of similar working experience in the automotive or bus industry; familiarity with body welding, final assembly or painting processes is preferred. Experience working in a multinational company.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in engineering drawing software; experience with Siemens NX is preferred.
  • Understanding of key bus material specifications and selection standards; familiar with material localization research and verification methods.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach and quick responsiveness to on-site issues.
  • High sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure, and willing to travel for short-term assignments
