Job description

We're looking for an HVAC Systems Engineer to lead our team. You'll derive design requirements, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the integration of HVAC systems in city buses. Your role involves translating requirements into feasible designs and validating them before release.   • Derive and understand design requirements;
  • Communicates with suppliers and understands refrigerated applications and heat pump principles;
  • Lead HVAC system, drive cooling and battery cooling in different disciplines (System level, mechanical, electrical, software, procurements and aftersales);
  • Translate requirements into a feasible design;
  • Ensure correct integration of HVAC system in city buses;
  • Validate the design-by-design reviews and DMU checks before release;
  • Out of the box mindset which always tries to drive the responsible systems to perfection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree engineering or a related field;
  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings, electrical schematics and have basic knowledge about CAN-BUS system;
  • Have skills for clear communication between different languages and cultures;
  • Be able to define interaction between systems and dependencies between mechanical, electrical and software;
  • Understanding of automotive quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices;
  • Strong CAD skills and affinity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Siemens NX preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and with suppliers, Understands the importance of supporting different departments outside of Engineering Department (Aftersales, Purchase, Supply Chain, etc.);
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while meeting production deadlines;
  • Previous experience in the production of buses or commercial vehicles are preferred;
  • Have an eye for robust and future-proof pragmatic solutions to production problems, which helps delivering end-products to customers on-time.
